Who’s Who

*****************************************************************************************

“Lonesome” Jim M. – Jim is our mandolin player, but is much more than that.  He sings lead in most of our songs, does harmony, plays guitar masterfully, can knock out a tune or two on the fiddle, and works wonders with the harmonica, too.  A natural musician and a key member of the band.  You’ll hear and see Jim “front and center” on much of our playlist.

satchstalbanswebStephen “Satch” H. – The most important instrument in any Bluegrass band is the guitar and Satch provides Pejepscot Station with solid guitar work on every song.  Satch will also join in with vocals from time to time if you ask nicely.  A seasoned guitar player, he is invaluable to the group. Listen for his distinctive guitar work, it is tremendous.

cherieBW5416Cherie “Peachblossom” H.-Cherie plays bass and sings lead and harmony .  Clearly the happiest person on earth, Cherie brings her joy to the stage while keeping the rest of the band in time with a steady bass line.  Cherie’s natural musical ability and love of song shine through in her performances.

Russ D. – A comfortable mandolin player as well as guitarist, Russ brings a fresh sound to Pejepscot Station with his sparkling mandolin work and his harmony and lead vocals.  A veteran of the music scene, and probably the most easy-going guy you’ll ever meet, Russ adds depth to the band and variety to the playlist.

Ren B. – Ah, the iconic banjo!.  Ren’s  banjo work is featured prominently in most tunes and he contributes harmony as well lead vocals.  Ren is a self-taught, long-time banjo picker with his own style.
